DiAS is implemented by the Laboratory of Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing, School of Rural and Surveying Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Prof. Petros Patias is the Scientific Coordinator of DiAS project. He has participated as a Scientific Coordinator or principal researcher in more than 90 Research Programs, funded by National or European Institutions. His research interests are in the fields of Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and GIS. His work includes 6 scientific books, 9 chapters in scientific books, and over 230 articles in scientific journals and conference proceedings. He serves as editor, board member or reviewer to 53 scientific journals.

Dr Georgia Doxani has a PhD in Remote Sensing and she has been involved in research projects related to the processing of Earth Observation (EO) data for a variety of applications for more than a decade. Over the last five years she has been working with the European Space Agency, where she has gained extensive experience with data and programs managed by the Agency. Her research has been internationally recognized through publications in international scientific journals and distinctions/awards.

Dr Zinovia Mitraka has extensive experience in research projects funded by national and European funds in the framework of her collaboration with the Remote Sensing Laboratory at the Foundation for Research and Technology. She has experience in both management and implementation of research projects. She has publications in international scientific journals with referees and international conferences. In addition, she has gained direct experience in the management of EO data from the European Sentinels as part of her training program at the European Space Agency.

Dr Sofia Siachalou has a PhD in Remote Sensing and her research activities concern processing and analysis of EO data in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), focusing on natural ecosystems (agriculture/forest). She has participated in several research projects and publications. For more than 10 years she is a member of the Greek Payment Authority of Common Agricultural Policy (OPEKEPE). Her main duties involve remote sensing controls and map updating, based on high-resolution EO data.
